How it works

At CLEARSTEPS, we are committed to guiding you through every step of the enrollment process to ensure a smooth transition into ABA therapy services for your child.

Client Intake

Insurance Verification

We verify your insurance coverage, explaining your benefits and any cost-sharing responsibilities

Documentation Collection

Our team will gather all necessary diagnostic documents, including evaluations, IEP ( if applicable), doctor referrals, and the Client Intake Packet. This process typically takes 1-2 weeks

Initial Authorization Request

We submit a request for assessment authorization to your insurance provider on your behalf

Assessment and Service Setup

Availability Coordination

We work with you to understand your child's needs and service schedule preferences.

Assessment

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will conduct your child's assessment. This includes a discussion with you, direct observation, and the creation of a personalized treatment plan.

Assessment Review

The treatment plan is reviewed and submitted to your insurance for approval of ongoing services.

Staffing

Using our matching process, we locate a skilled Behavior Technician (BT) or Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in your area to support your child. This step typically takes about 2-3 weeks.

Initial Service Period

Service Coordination

Your BCBA and BT will coordinate schedules to begin therapy sessions.

Initial Check-Ins

We ensure the BT is pairing well with your child and that therapy sessions are proceeding smoothly.

Ongoing Communication

During the first 4 weeks of services, we maintain consistent check-ins to monitor progress and address any concerns.

Ongoing ABA Services

Case Management

Once services are established, a Case Manager will oversee your child's care.

Service Consistency

We monitor therapy sessions for consistency and progress,addressing cancellations and making necessary adjustments.

Reassessment & Reauthorization

Periodic reassessments are conducted ( typically every 6 months), and we manage the reauthorization process to ensure uninterrupted care.

Insurance Support

If your insurance changes, we'll help you navigate the process to maintain services.
